Our story
Nearly three decades of doing right by our clients.
Founded by initial owner Michelle Nel on 1 August 1996, the practice began with an advantageous base — extensive knowledge of both the South African short-term insurance and motor sales industries.
Building up a high level of financial, risk-analysis and marketing expertise in the employ of a large insurance company during the 1980s, Michelle gained further exposure to the operational and administrative facets of vehicle finance when extending her career focus to the sales division of a motor dealership.
Here she also formed very favourable relationships — still strongly in place today — with a number of vehicle-finance institutions. Immediately successful in its niche market of motor-dealer business, the firm gradually expanded to integrate administrative and claims divisions.
Eleven consecutive years of stable, profitable growth and highly efficient service delivery followed, recognised through achievements such as being elected “SA Underwriters” / Lloyd Best SA Producer in 1999 and receiving the Regent Insurance Golden Production Award.
